On digital learning day my students (all four classes) will be using the computer to access articles of interest from the npr.org website (Story Corps). They will complete analysis and main idea questions and write a summary paragraph on the computer.

Mrs. Charlotte Mitchell - CTE

My banking students will be creating a muti-flow map using prezi.

My entrepreneurial ventures students are creating a voki to explain the relevance of ROI.

My investment students are purchasing stocks at www.smartstocks.com via Nasdaq indices.

Ms. Debra Robinson - CTE

BVP 1 students will use Photoshop to create storyboards.  They will use Prezi for their Mass Media projects.

BVP 2 students will use Final Cut Pro to edit.

Both classes use schoology.com  (rubrics, handouts, bell ringers & posts).

4^th period:  PowerPoint Presentations on topics related to the origins and spread of Islam

Friday (2/8/13)

2^nd and 3^rd periods:  Powerpoint Presentations and Research on Shaka Zulu and Menelik II

They must find out where they are going and do currency conversions using an online currency calculator.

On a separate sheet of paper/answer sheet, the students should write down the name of each country associated with the clue number, together with the country’s currency and the dollar amount spent in that country. Each student will be evaluated on their answers and on their group interaction.

My students will be visiting these sites several websites listed on food packages to test their knowledge of nutrition by playing interactive games and completing on line assessments.
